Yesterday's reading(I read at night, so...) can pretty much be summed up in this, "Who is Jesus". There is no question in your life that will ever be so important! David reminds us just how short our lives are. Answer the essential question.

And they never saw those Egyptian soldiers again. They were goners. God had rescued Israel, just as He promised! Now to Matthew, Jesus is here and the cross is closer. What a Redeemer!!!

I don't care how many times I read Exodus, it is still new! What a powerful and merciful God! He judges the Egyptians and the 'gods' and rescues His people, all with the promise in mind! I can't help but see God's redemptive story embedded in Exodus!

All I have to offer is so small and dirty! Praise God Almighty that when He looks on me He sees me cleansed in the atoning blood of Jesus and clothed in His perfect righteousness! All I "have" is a gift from Him that I can't wait to lay at His feet on judgement day! Glory to His awesome Name! I will let my works, which God prepared for me ahead of time, to be the fruit that glorifies Him!

God is merciful. Even with all of Abraham's family drama and stuff, He still uses this dysfunctional family to bring the promised messiah into the world! He came, not for the "good" people, but for those that knew they needed a savior. Jesus is victor.
